Stewie Griffin reacts to Ronda Rousey. She is in action again this weekend at UFC 157 against Liz Carmouche.
On Saturday August 18th, Ronda Rousey and Sarah Kaufman headlined a solid night of MMA action. Watch the official recap including highlights from Ovince St. Preux vs. TJ Cook, Lumumba Sayers vs. Anthony Smith, Tarec Saffiedine vs. Roger Bowling, Jacare Souza vs. Derek Brunson, Ronda Rousey vs. Sarah Kaufman.
Another Ronda Rousey fight, another first round armbar. This time set up with a gorgeous foot sweep where she quickly got mount and set up a few armbar attempts in a row, all in 54 seconds. DAYUM RONDA, YOUS CRAZY!!
Then she goes and calls out Cris Cyborg. My life will never be complete without seeing that fight.
I didn’t get a chance to post this before the fight yesterday, but this second and final installment of All Access: Ronda Rousey is still relevant and provides an entertaining insight into the training she did in the lead up to last night. It also adds an additional perspective of how much her new found fame has affected her life.
Sarah Kaufman is set to take on Ronda Rousey for the Strikeforce womens 135 Championship this weekend. It will be Ronda’s first title defence and the toughest fight each woman has ever faced. Yesterday I posted the All Access hype video that provides a little insight into who Ronda is and where she came from. Now it is Sarah’s turn.
First up we have a background video of two of the biggest threats to Ronda’s top spot in womens MMA, Chris Cyborg (who is currently suspended due to a positive PED result) and of course Saturday’s challenger, Sarah Kaufman.
In the following interview Sarah discusses her upcoming fight with Ronda and what she thinks it will take to beat her.
We are in love.
I was on the edge of my seat through this fight. Ronda Rousey backed up every pre-fight smack talking word with awesome Judo trips and a slick transition from rear mount into a devastating armbar. DAYUMN ROWDY, YOU CRAZY!
The video doesn’t show the hyper-extension that Ronda was able to get on Miesha’s arm, so here you go…
I would never have thought that on an event in which Paul Daley is fighting, the bout I would be most excited for is a fight between women! Both fighters are great ambassadors of WMMA, but Ronday Rousey has really won us over with her great feisty personality, the fact that she loves tearing off arms as much as we do just strengthens our love for her.
Another night of great fights is ahead of us with a card that includes our boy Semtex, Kazuo Misaki, K.J. Noons, Josh Thomson, Scott Smith and Jacare, we have some guaranteed violence to look forward to.
