Brighton Tattoo Convention pictures

I had a great time at Brighton Tattoo Convention on Saturday, and I’d love to share all the great photos I took with you all, but… er… I didn’t take any.

Sorry!

Probably for the best though, this way at least the pictures are in focus! Here is a small selection of some of the great work done over the weekend.

A Modern Marvel

There’s a very good reason why Creative Vandals has become the go to shop for comic book tattoos. This one by Andy Walker made my nerd gland swell to the size of a large grapefruit. It hurts.

Totally Stark-ers

I’m currently writing this whilst on my way back from a trip up North to get tattooed by Kerry-Anne Richardson at Cock A Snook (pics when the swelling has gone down!).

Unfortunately the timing of this trip means that I still have yet to see the new Avengers movie! The shame of this is somewhat soothed by the knowledge that I have a super cool new tattoo instead.

Whether or not you’ve seen the movie yet, I’m sure you will appreciate this tattoo, by the immensely talented Andy Walker from Creative Vandals in Hull.

UK Top Tattoo Artists – THE SKETCHBOOK!

UK Top Tattoo Artists is pretty much the coolest thing on facebook. If you haven’t liked the page yet then do it immediately or I’ll tell the internet police.

Believe it or not, the page is run by only one chap, and as well as working his arse off to create probably the best tattoo page on facebook, he has now turned his attention to putting together a sketchbook to raise money for Dove House Hospice. A ridiculous list of amazing tattooers have donated original artwork to the project, with names such as Jason Butcher, Mat Lapping and Liane Moule getting involved.

The book is being limited to a run of 50 copies, and at only £30 each they are an absolute bargain. To pre-order a copy email UKTopTattooArtists@hotmail.co.uk with your details, and you best do it quickly before you miss out! The original artwork will also be auctioned off some time soon, so keep an eye on the facebook page if you fancy a chance at getting your hands on a piece of original work by one of the best artists in the land.
