Movember the first

It’s that time of the year again chaps. Movember is once again upon us, and I am joining the ranks of the proud men growing out their ‘staches to raise awareness and funds for prostate and testicular cancer initiatives (such as Prostate Cancer UK and Institute of Cancer Research).

Those of you that have been following us for a while will remember my Moustache Log series of posts, which actually ended up becoming a year long journey into the manly world of moustache growing. That fabulous journey ended when I was convinced to shave it off to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK, and now an opportunity has arisen to grow it back for the same cause, how fitting!

I strongly urge all of you to sponsor someone you know that is taking part, or if not you can sponsor me here. Better yet you could always join in and lend a helping hand (or lip rather) to this outstanding charity.

The more the merrier chaps, it really is a cause worth getting involved with, plus it’s loads of fun!

If you know of any Movember events going on that you would like us to help promote, just drop us a line at teamfisticuffs@gmail.com and we will help out however we can.

To get you into the spirit of things, here is a picture of my moustache mid-shave. I guess this is what I get for coinciding a sponsored shave with my stag night!

Charity moustache shave

I don’t usually post personal things on the blog, but as this is for charity I’ll make an exception.

Those of you that have been following us for a while may remember my Moustache Log posts, documenting my journey into manhood through the medium of facial hair. Almost a year has passed since I first started growing it out, and it has genuinely been one of the most fun things I’ve ever done.

However, all good things must eventually come to an end, and I have made the tough decision to shave off my beloved lip-tickler to try to raise some money for Prostate Cancer UK. These guys are an amazing charity and really need our support, so if you can find it in your hearts (and wallets) to part with a few quid to help them out, I would be forever grateful. You can donate on my Just Giving page here (the money goes directly to the charity).

Here is a picture of my moustache as it stands today, I will be sure to post a further picture to prove I have actually gone through with it once it’s gone, which will be on the 1st of September.
